Oak Hill’s 2009 summer program is grounded in the school’s philosophy that the integration of therapeutic strategies into the learning environment is a key to a child’s social, emotional and intellectual development.

Oak Hill offers a therapeutic program committed to providing a developmentally appropriate, fun and safe environment for students with special neurologically-based challenges. The program includes activities specifically designed to maximize children’s skills in:

 

Social Thinking—Self-Regulation—Speech & Language Development— Occupational Therapy--Executive Functioning—Multi-sensory Learning Experiences

 

Oak Hill/Ryder Foundation Summer Program

WHO:

Children ages 7-22 years with special needs including autism spectrum disorders, and their siblings. The program is staffed by faculty and therapists of the Oak Hill School.

 

WHAT:

A summer day program featuring recreational activities, field trips, swimming and other outdoor excursions and adventures

WHAT ELSE:

Therapeutic Horseback riding at Giant Steps (additional cost) www.giantstepsriding.org

 

WHEN:

June 29-Aug 6, Monday-Thursday, 9:30 am -3:00 pm

Operated at The Marin School’s beautiful campus in Sausalito and the adjacent fields.

HIGH SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!

We are looking for high-school age volunteers to join our staff for the summer.
